Windows2012 server giving performance issue with VNX5300
Hi Gents,
we provisioned san disks from SAS RG (raid5) to windows 2012 hyper-v cluster server. But they didnt configure as cluster as now and they kept as it is to see san disks performance before they go with cluster configuration and create VM guests followed by.
when they try to copy some files from local disk to san disks, it goes well till 99% (copy). after that it stuck for few min and gets complete. the same case when we try to delete file. its taking 2min of time to ask confirmation message (like do you want to delete file) and after we give confirmation as 'YES" it responds in quick time.
we checked compatiblity and its all met. we are using qlogic 5802 sanbox fc switch. server and storage ports connected to it. in turn server ports from qlogic connected to brocade blade chassis.
please help us if you have any idea on this. what could be the issue here?
no other server (solaris/windows 2008) reported an issue. platform backend team says it is problem with san disks and compatiblity!!
Thanks
Chandran

Looks like maybe a driver issue on the HBA's? Can you test the same with Microsoft iSCSI initiators.
The fact that you are able to start a copy session tells me that the connections are good from server to storage.
