packaging
Just received new VOSTRO 3030 tower today. When I put my hand in the handhold to pick it up I could feel plastic and metal. I thought that was odd because usually there is some type of wrapper around a new computer (usually a foam wrapper). I opened the box to check it and yes the rear of the computer where the fan, etc. are, were open to air, dust, the delivery guy, etc. I don't know if cockroaches haven't climbed in there. Has anybody else noticed this? I haven't connected the computer yet, it will be a few days. It might be okay, but what if there is dirt and stuff in there that affects the performance or lifetime of the computer?

Dell has been packaging systems this way for 25 years or more.
You'd be better off examining the system now than waiting a few days - bear in mind that any return period your purchase has lasts at most 30 days, and that clock starts ticking on the day of shipment.
