Good afternoon!
I have a Vostro 230, core 2 duo processor, 3Gb memory and 320Gb HD.
Can you put a 2 quad core processor? If so, which models are supported?

The specs say: Intel Core™2 Quad - but they don't say exactly which Core 2 Quad CPUs are supported.
Have you searched these forums to see if anyone mentioned installing a Core 2 Quad in the Vostro 230? Only Dell would know for certain which Quad CPUs are supported.
At minimum, you probably would want to update BIOS to the latest version, in case Dell added support for new processors in the newest version. But keep in mind that there's always a risk of killing the motherboard if a BIOS update fails.

Hello, what will happen if I install the processor on a 230S dell ,250W power supply? it will not start? or could I have problems only in stressful conditions?

230W power supply will burn out with Quad Core.
Inspiron 530 uses 350W power supply and different motherboard for quads.
YOU CANNOT USE QUADS on 230S.

Dell Vostro 230 - Core 2 Duo E7500 is typical
Uses INTEL G41 express Chipset
230S models WOULD NOT BE compatible with quads due to power supply being TOO SMALL.
Prior to installing the processor, check that the BIOS is version 1.4.0
