Vostro 3681 Upgrade
Vostro 3681
We have a Vostro 3681 which was being used for simple office work. We want to be able to use it for graphic design, nothing too fancy, but we are finding that it is too slow when you have multiple apps and files opened. Knowing not much about computers, not sure what should we upgrade and what is doable... Graphic card? Memory?
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

The first step, not knowing how much RAM is installed, would be to upgrade to more RAM. The 3681 can have up to 64GB of RAM and if you are using it for graphic design I would increase that to at least 32GB. I would bet since it was used for simple office work it is no where near that amount now. If you have an HDD installed now I would move to an M.2 NVMe SSD which is around 20 x faster than an HDD. Now the GPU is a sticking point. You have a 200W PSU so the best you can probably do is a GT 1030 low profile card (the GDDR5 version). Not the best for graphic design but much better than the IGPU.
