Activate Legacy Bios in vostro 5501 ?
Hello everyone,
I tried to install a old windows 7 system in my pc, but i can't boot on my usb or dvd because it's a MBR partition and in the vostro 5501 "Legacy Boot mode is not supported on this platform". So my question is to know if is possible to activate legacy or csm boot mode to install windows 7 ?

No - it's gone from many new systems and will be gone from all Intel systems within the year.
Beyond the fact that Windows 7 is end of life,the CPU you have won't support it.
If you want to run Windows 7 on that system, you will need to do it in a virtual session (under virtualbox, vmware, etc.).

See the message about installing windows 7 on the drivers and download page for your model. You have a 10th generation cpu that does not support installing win 7 which is an unsupported OS. I assume this applies to your model too. It says--
If you have a 7th Generation Intel Processor, your system can not downgrade to windows 7/8/8.1.
