BIOS update fail, windows shut the laptop down
Updating BIOS from A04 to A10 on a Vostro 3700 and windows took it upon itself to shut the laptop down. Battery charged AC plugged in all going swimmingly then bam! windows pops up a message and shuts laptop down borking the BIOS update. To say I miffed is, by all the gods, an understatement. Is there anyway back from this or do I now have a plastic brick?
I can’t believe this has happened. I’m gutted.

It starts to boot; nothing on screen, goes off then power button flashes once and that cycle continues until I pull the power.
If I use the method below I can get the power light to stay on but nothing much else happens...

If you have a USB stick larger than 4GB and you want to format to FAT aka FAT16 use this method: Format-USB-Flash-Drive-to-FATFAT16-not-FAT32
