charging issue

Question

i have this weird issue , that my laptop only charge when turned off and when connect adapter to the laptop when its turned on the light of the adapter fades away and wont charge

i have to shutdown and disconnect the ac adapter from power source and then plug the charger and it works fine even after i open my laptop but once i remove the charger i cant recharge unless i do the process again

When the adapter light goes out do you have to unplug the adapter at the wall to get the light to come back on?

@Pop007​ Generally if the light on the adapter goes out when plugged into the laptop but comes back on when you unplug it from the wall, that indicates a short in the laptop. It could be the DC jack or the motherboard.
