Dell Vostro 5568 Battery Alert
I often get the message "Your battery can no longer provide sufficient power".
Can I still work on my laptop while still plugged in, or will I eventually experience my laptop shutting off?
I always work on my laptop while plugged-in, so I wouldn't want to change the battery

Batteries fail even if they are not used. You can remove the battery when it dies completely and use the adapter alone. The laptop will be a desktop replacement and cannot ever be used without the adapter plugged into an outlet. You can buy a new battery but it must come from Dell and might be out of stock. If you never use it on battery it would be a waste of $100 or so. Lots of scams with replacement batteries on the internet.
