Service tag not recognized

My Vostro's service tag is not recognized by Dell.

Auto detection at dell.com/support shows my service tag, but it cannot be added to My Dell due to 'invalid service tag'.  If I call Dell support, the agents didn't help me without the 'correct' service tag.

Can someone from Dell register my service tag in your system??? I purchased a new Vostro 5502 on 17 June 2021.

The problem solved.  (I purchased the Vostro via a reseller)

I already ordered the extended warranty.  According to the reseller the order was rejected by Dell due to invalid service tag.

At the same time I contacted community moderator for help.  I sent a screenshot of the BIOS which shows the service tag.

Two days later my service tag is recognized at dell.com.  It is 3 weeks from the date of purchase.

If the system was purchased direct from Dell, it can take a few days for a new service tag to appear in the database.

If it came from anywhere else, contact the seller for an explanation;  if one is not forthcoming, return the system for a refund.
