The mic is not working properly

The mic does not work on my device, I tried to do everything such as updating the definitions and adjusting the features, but every time I talk in the mic, the sound appears as if it were a squirrel's voice. I also checked the mic channel, but only one option appeared 

1 channel, 16bit, 48000 Hz (DVD Quality)

If there is a custom driver you would recommend, or something that might help, please let me know
