Ubuntu desktop settings are gone
Hi guys!
The day before yesterday I turned on my Dell Vostro 3490 laptop and saw the default background on the desktop. The desktop has shortcuts to the "Filesystem Root" and "efi" drives. I cannot change the background and keyboard layout because the new settings are not saved.
What could it be?

I have just solved this problem. The problem was in the installed glib-2.58.0 library, which I installed myself from sources to resolve the dependencies of another application.
Ubuntu 18.04 that installed on my laptop uses glib-2.56.
After deleting glib-2.58, all settings were restored.
