Vostro 15 5501 Remove battery for memory upgrade?
I bought a memory upgrade for the subject laptop. Do I need to remove or disconnect the battery before installing in the new memory? THX!

You don't necessarily need to remove it, but absolutely yes - you must disconnect it from the system board (and make sure the AC adapter is unplugged) before upgrading memory.
