Vostro 3500 Audio issue
Good day, hope all is well.
I'm having trouble with my Dell laptop sound, not just this dell but another Vostro 3500 and then sometimes with newer models like the Vostro 3520, usually when the newer models have a audio issue that is still under ProSupport then a Dell technician replaces the motherboard because of an audio chip overheat issue.
The issue I'm having is the audio doesn't work, then I open device manager, no audio device found, restart the laptop and then the audio is back.
I have even installed a clean version of Windows 11, updated drivers and bios, it works for a while and then stops working where the audio icon on the taskbar has a red "X" on it.
Downloaded the drivers from Dell website for the model but doesn't work.
Realtek audio drivers doesn't work so I have to install the Cirrus drivers, which is fine.
I also disabled windows driver updates so it won't interfere when it is working, but the next day turning on the PC it doesn't work.
Or the sound does work but gives a buzz sound when playing something.
I booted with an Ubuntu USB stick and the sound immediately worked without the buzz sound as well.
It also doesn't matter if it's Windows 10, because that is from where the problem started when I formatted to Windows 11.
This isn't the first time it happened and it's always just after ProSupport has ended.
Bluetooth speakers does work even when the red "X" is on the audio icon on the taskbar.
If someone can help me out with this or maybe have another driver to test that isn't the recommended one on the driver support page for the laptop model, that would be great.
Thank you.
Please see attached photos and video of buzz sound.
