Vostro 3500 booting process
I recently bought a new Vostro 3500 laptop with 256 GB SSD and 1 TB HDD. When I click power button, the screen will be blank for approximately 7 seconds with keyboard light on. After 7 seconds dell logo will be shown and windows login screen will appear within next 12 seconds. I just want to make sure that this is normal or not.

Approximately 19 seconds from power on to Windows screen is very good. Even with an SSD you will never see instant login. Part of that startup is probably some short time spent accessing the HDD especially if you have any apps or files on the HDD that are opened during startup.
