Vostro 3510 touchpad stopped working mid-session

Touchpad was working fine, allowing me to swap between virtual desktops etc; I did have my usb mouse plugged in as usual but the touchpad was enabled, as always.

After reboot, it's still not working.

Device Manager seems to indicate 1 item is disabled; disabling and enabling does not resolve and updating driver found nothing.
