Vostro 5402, screen bezel coming off suddenly

One fine day I see my Dell Vostro 5402 bezel is coming off all of a sudden and you can see the gap between the screen and the plastic bezel (bottom right corner). It is covered under basic warranty.

In my opinion this is a manufacturing defect and I see other similar posts on this forum stating the same issue. But Dell technical support does not accept this as manufacturing defect and is telling me that since my laptop is not under accidental warranty, it will be a paid service.

We pay such high amounts for these laptops only to get such poor quality and ridiculous service experience. I am never going to buy another dell or recommend to anyone. Does anyone have a solution for the above and how to go about it?
