Vostro 5459 doesn't recognise upgraded ram.
Hi!
I have a trouble with ram upgrade in my Vostro 5459. I check specs and find that inside my i3 laptop am MT8KTF51264HZ-1G6. Which is 4Gb, 204 pins, PC12800. So i bought QUM3S-8G1600C11L which is 8Gb, 204 pins and, i guess, PC12800 too. Don't ask about a brand I hear it first time. Anyway I try to upgrade laptop and get orange blinking light. I replace to old one and everything works just fine. Replace again and OLOD and not even BIOS menu.
Could you help me with that issue. I messed up with specs or motherboard doesn't support 8Gb ram, or maybe new ram is broke and no problem with laptop.
Have a great day.

Hello,
Try this:
Step One: Check The Seating
Step Two: Check Your Motherboard’s Compatibility
Step Three: Run a Diagnostic like Memtest86
Step Four: Clean the Electrical Contacts
Step Five: Test It With Other Systems
