VOSTRO 5510 DUAL MONITORS
Can anyone tell me if my VOSTRO 5510 laptop with a NVIDIA GeForce MX450 graphic cards will support 2 additional external monitors over and above the taptop display. If so what is the best way to connect so that the laptop recognises the 2 additional external laptop. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

@OzzieBabe You should be aware that on most systems with discrete GPUs, the Intel GPU is often still the one that is wired to all display outputs, with the NVIDIA GPU operating purely as a render-only device when needed. In those cases, you'd be limited to what the Intel GPU can support. And your system appears to be set up that way given that on that system's Setup and Specifications page, the "External Display Support" column for the NVIDIA GPU shows "N/A" (link). But Intel GPUs for several years have supported up to three independent displays, and with the new Intel Xe GPU in your system's CPU, that limit has been increased to four. So you'll certainly be able to run three total displays.
In terms of how best to connect them, that depends a bit on the resolution and refresh rates(s) of the displays you want to run, and potentially whether your system has Thunderbolt or not. The Setup and Specifications doc indicates that systems with Core i7 processors have Thunderbolt, while systems with Core i5 processors have regular USB-C with video output support.

Hi Could you confirm the Intel Xe Graphics such as in the vostro 5510 or the XPS 15 allows for 4 external monitors independent output. How about on top of the laptop display?
