For anyone else with this problem, it is a known issue that occurs after an update to v8, though may take weeks or months to manifest. You need to open a case with Dell to resolve, as the KB and remediation are not accessible. Refer to KB000245510. Note that the remediation is performed on the VxRail Manager, not the host(s).
Try to restart the service, try to restart the Host.
Question: Can you ensure that lockdown mode isnt enabled/configured for that host or that the user account isnt locked? Try to connect to the Host client and log in with this user (assume "root") to verify this.
Yes... but you will be able to login to ESXi Shell (through iDRAC) but not over a a network like SSH, Hostlclient when have a looked account. Thats why i asked.
For example.. if you have a monitoring tool which abuse the "root" account it will going to locked this account for infinite :)

Check under Host->Configuration->Services if "ssh" is startet/enabled. Best practice today is to disable the SSH on ESXi.

Lockdown mode is disabled. I should have made clear in my original post, but I can log in as root from both the host's web UI and its iDRAC console.
I'll try rebooting it.
