100% CPU Usage Follow Up

What you need to do is right click the AOLacsd.exe process in task managaer and shut it down. I'm assuming that you use AOL as your ISP, if not then the AOLacsd.exe has no business on your system and you can search for it on your drive and delete it. This is what i found out about that process:

AOLacsd.exe is a part of the AOL Internet Software and relates to the connection driver, essential to Internet connection. This program is a non-essential system process, but should not be terminated unless suspected to be causing problems.

So according to this you can shut it down and your internet should still function, for whatever reason that file is not behabing properly and is malfunctioning causing it to eat up all your cpu cycles. What you could do is try searching for it and moving it to another loccation, then do a restart and try connecting to the internet. If everything works ok and you don't notice any wierd behaviour and your net works fine then i would just delete the file. If it causes your internet to stop functioning then i would do this at the very least. Put the file back where it came from, restart and right click the process in task manager now select priority and then select Low. This will put this process into a very low priority and it will not allow it to hog the CPU.
