2002 MS Outlook on Vista OS?
Will Office XP Professional version 2002 install on a computer with Vista operation system? I only want to install Microsoft Office Outlook if I can do a custom installation.

i had heard otherwise... but acording to microsoft it should work under vista...

HI,
Microsoft Office 2002 might work in vista but it also depends on which service pack is installed on your computer.....most probably it will not work as if it gets installed on your computer and if updates gets installed for vista, there will be software clashes...because of this you might get blue screen or you might have to reinstall windows....So it is better not to install MS office 2002 and Wait for Windows 7 as MICROSOFT IS RECALLING VISTA and Providing windows 7 instead.....

microsoft recalling vista? that is a urban myth that has been circulating for over a year and would be unprecedented bahaviour for microsoft. what do you base that stament on?

Yea im curious about that statement too.
I know Office 2003 will work on Vista X64 as well as Windows 7 as I am using it

I've never heard of software being recalled before. Patched, updated, and other wise fixed but never recalled.
