administrator password

I just bought a new dell inpiron notebook. With it I got the Dell Photo Printer 720. To install new hardware on my computer I need a password, because I need to be a member of the administrators of my computer. However, I have no idea how to find this password. PLease help me.
Thanks a lot.

Unless you changed it, the Admin password is "blank"....meaning leave it blank.  Your verydat account is not a member of the Admin or Power Users group?

RogierB,

You have a named account which is an administrator account. When you are logged on in that account go to Start|Control Panel|User Accounts. Click on your account name and on the dialog that opens select "Create a password."

The System Administrator account should have a null (blank) password but many Dell systems do not as they were set up using Sysprep. To make sure you know what the Administrator password is, you can change it to a known value (blank if you choose) using the procedure here.
