Adobe Acrobat 8

Heya all,

Is anyone else having an issue with installing Adobe Acrobat 8 reader?

I am receiving an error that there is either not enough room on my system which is not the case, or I do not have admin rights to my temp folder which is also not the case.

Anyone else run into this?

Thanks,

GuardianXPS: Have you disabled User Account Control (UAC)? This is a known issue with Adobe Reader 8 in that situation.

I think it is a known condition if UAC is enabled or not isn't it?

I will double check again, but I think UAC is already disabled. I assume by response everyone else got it to install fine.

I had to install it in XP compatibility mode.

I had the same problem, solved in this way:

start the installation of acrobat reader8 after the decompression, it ask to run the program, don't do that.

    look in \users\"yourprofile"\appdata\locallow\netopsys\

under this path there's a folder with the uncompressed installation, copy it in another place, then abort the installer
Go to the folder you copied and run the installation.

    best regards

Not sure if my problem is connected to this one or not but here is the situation.

I downloaded Adobe 8.0 and when I tried to scan from my printer I received and error message  "The system cannot find the file specified".  This is how I have scanned previously.

I then opened the Dell Scancenter from my desktop and was able to scan "a" document.  When I tried to scan 3 pages into one document it scanned them all into separate documents.

How do I scan multiple pages into one document using the desktop method?
