Adware/Spyware
I'm looking for new adware/spware program. My experience with:
Pest Patrol- It did a fairly good job. Replaced it with Spy Sweeper which initially found two demons overlooked by Pest Patrol.
Spy Sweeper- Started out great then failed to find anything at all during a scan. Too intrusive; it interferes with installing new software. Very tough to Uninstall.
STOPzilla- Claims to BLOCK as opposd to scanning then removal. Did not perform well. I,m getting 35 to 40 adware messages daily.
Any assistance finding a Blocker would be appreciated Alsoany comments on Ad Aware SE or Pro?
Am interested in its performance; AND is it difficult to use? At their web site I noticed that some
Command Line Entries are required. DOS like stuff scares me anymore. Many thanks.

Vandalia,I'm using Ad-Aware SE (free version), Spybot Search & Destroy, and Spyware Blaster. All work excellently with each other, and are frequently recommended on these forums. I mainly use Ad-Aware SE for my scans. Spybot includes a scanner and protection from new ones, while Spyware Blaster is protection only (no scan). Vandalia,I almost forgot, you can go to the site linked below for more recommendations and comparisons of anti-spyware tools (scroll up for feature comparisons). On another page of their website they also show test results of how well these programs removed different types of mal-ware.

I use AdAware and find it relatively easy to use. I am wary of deleting any instances of Microsoft software problems it finds. Before you consider deleting any Microsoft instances AdAware finds I suggest you contact AdAware and ask questions in their forum.
PS Like your screen name, it reminds me of Martha and The Vandellas of Tamla Motown fame!
