Automatic Updates - Vista

Question

Does anyone know how to get detailed information for the updates that Windows Updates indicates are available under Vista (e.g., Driver versions or descriptions and specific details of what the updates are)?

With XP it was possible to obtain detailed information that explained what they related to and the improvements they would provide relating to the updates being offered, but, I haven't been able to figure out how to do that under Vista.

Is it even possible?

This is the best technical information for an update that I've ever seen...lmfao!!!

I agree with GioAguilar. Information regarding driver updates from Microsoft is almost non-existent. You are much better off getting any required drivers from Dell or from the device manufacturer.

Drivers update are better to get from the manufacter's website or directly from Dell. In there you'll find more in formation about those updates. With Windows Updates, you can get the info with the KB for each update.

When you're at the windows update screen, and you see something like Update for windows Vista (KB931836), that's the KB you can type at microsoft.com to see information about the update you're installing

Thanks Gio,   But under Vista that information is not provided.  I've posted all of the information that is provided in the windows update screen.   I've also posted all of the information that is provided from the 'more information' link - http://winqual.microsoft.com/support/?driverid=2030   FYI - A response in the XPS forum indicated that this particular update is for FW 162.22.   It maybe that because this is an nVidia update versus a Microsoft Update no additional information is available or provided, but, if my memory serves I'm fairly certain that even the MS Updates did not have any more information that what I posted.
