Being audited, don't know which XP is on which machine...
Hey all. I tried searching but it still hadn't loaded after 5 minutes...
I have two machines that are in my network that have XP pro loaded on them. A local computer guy re-formatted the machines and installed XP on them. However I do not know which Product Key goes to which machine. I know there is a way to find it on Office, but which codes do I need to look for and where to help identify which software belongs to which machine?
I hope that was understandable. Thanks in advance for your help.
P.S. I have the original boxes that the XP software came in along with their Product Keys.

Most Dells made in the last 3-4 years have the product key label attached to either the side or the back of the tower itself.
If you can't locate it, don't bother calling Dell, because they do NOT record the product keys of the computers (then again, neither do any of the other companies I know of)
Wait, I re-read your post........I get what you are asking now.
Here is the link to the tool that you can run to read the Product Key code from the registry in XP:

I would run it 1st on the other machine, and whichever key it finds, you need to use the other one.
