blank blue screen; no taskbar

Hi all. I'm a newbie. Please help. Upon turning the computer on, the ctrl, alt, delete screen pops up, the the logon screen. After logon, a blank blue screen is all that comes up on the computer. No taskbar, start button, or even icons. Prior to the ctrl, alt delete screen, I didn't see any boot up info on the screen. Any ideas? Thank you in advance. Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you check in your user manual, it simply says turn off and start again. The fault is caused by electrical inteference. In my own case, I removed as much of the electrical equipment I could from around the system unit and the problem has never reoccurred.

Hi, thanks for the response.  I tried that, but no luck.    Any other suggestions?
