Blue Screen Shut Down
Greetings,
For the past 2 weeks now I get a Blue Screen shut down with the following text.
Stop:0X000000BE (OxF66E182F, 0X0B90A121, 0XF7AOAD5C, 0X0000000A)
ltmdmxp.sys Adress F66BF84F Base at F667F000
Date Stamp 3B0D615a
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
If any new Hardware or software as been intsalled, Disable Bios memory options susc as caching or shadowing. Restart PC press F8 select adavnced start-up options select safe mode.
I have done the F8 safe start up to find nothing Bios memory I can not disable (PC Illiterate)
All my window up-dates, security patches are current.
I have tried to get this resolve with tech support from Dell, Micro, AOL to no avail.
If anyone else as had this problem can you please post a link that will correct this or tell me in layman terms. Any help will be greatly apperciated.
Thank You
MC

Hi,
Did a Google search and it seems that ltmdmxp.sys is a driver associated with the Lt winmodem. (Was Lucent Technologies, now Agere Systems supports the Generic driver). Did you recently update your drivers for this modem? Not sure what operating system you have but if you have Windows XP you can use the Rollback function and install a previous driver. If you didn't install a new driver recently, you might try and download the latest driver for the LTwinmodem and install it and see if it helps. Not sure which brand of modem you have. Many companies use the Lucent Chipset. If it's a Dell computer you can go to your particular systems model support page and look for the driver there. If it isn't, you can go to www.agere.com and download the latest generic driver from there.
Good luck.
