Can I delete the partitions when installing Windows 7?
Hi
I got my retail Win 7 64 bit ultimate disc today.
Mine at present running Dell's OEM Vista Ultimate 64 bit.
I put in my Win 7 retail disc in my DVD and at restart computer pressed the F12 few times to choose my boot manue.
Then boot from the dvd.
Choose to do clean install
The win 7 retail disc took me to
partitions detail:
first is 65 GB reserved for OEM
second 520GB
Can I delete the partitions? and make into one partition?
When I delete partitions and make into one, I do not get the format choice?
Can I continue with the install without doing a format in clean install?
Regards

Hello DELL-jesse L
Thank you
The link you provided is not working.
Having said, I went ahead with deleteing the partitions and just installed the windows 7 os. It seems to be working.
However I could not get the correct driver for the Dell's bluetooth wireless & Mouse
Attempted to install the Dell's 64bit VISTA driver but failed
I should perhaps start a new thred for it
