Cannot configure a system on the Dell Website.. "We are having technical difficulties"

Hi...  I hope someone can help me!

I have been trying to "customize" some systems on the Dell website for quite some time but always get the error, below, when I select the CUSTOMIZE IT button.

I believe it is a problem on MY pc or network but dont know where to look.  I hooked my Motorola cable modem directly into my pc avoiding all the network gear but still received the error.

I have no problems accessing and working on the site from work on my laptop, but if I put my laptop on my home network, I get the same errors.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Running XP Home, Dell 8200 P4 2.4 1GIG ram, Cable Modem 3500kbps up/ 350kbps down.

Thanks for the response.  I have Norton Internet Security that runs an AntiVirus plus a "Security" app that contains the Norton Firewall.  I shut off all of Norton and I still have the same issue.  FYI - Windows Personal Firewall is also OFF and I still get the message.

Any other thoughts out there?

I get this message on my one computer with McAfee, but not on my other computers with different security software. I believe it is the firewall/security setting that prevents that web site from loading correctly. I have not tried to fix it, since I have access on the other computers. You should try lowering your security setting, adding Dell sales site to "allowed sites," and try to access again.

try downloading Mozilla ( www.mozilla.org ) and using this to access the page.

PROBLEM SOLVED:

I cleared out my COOKIES ... of all things... and it works now.  Obviously MS Anti-Spyware and Ad-Aware SE working together still arent enough!

Thanks to MARTIN at the local Dell store for his help.  Dell Customer Service - PTOOEY!  :smileyvery-happy:

I just cant resist one last comment on this if anyone cares....  I determined the offending cookie provider..  and it is DELL themselves!!

I dont know why.  Im not THAT big of a geek.  But this problem persists daily.  Once I delete the dell cookie, I again have use of the website "customize" functionality!!

Ok... Im done!
