Cannot install CD ROM and Audio Card with Vista
On my Inspiron 700M I could not successfully install the CD/DVD drive and the Audio card.
The following from MS solved the problem.
Now to tackle the Modem.

Any ideas?
Ive downloaded about 9 diff versions of the driver and i still get error code 39

I went through the registry and searched for the upper and lower limit entries. There was one in the audio section with the sigmatel card.
I backed up the reg and then deleted these keys, if I remember there was only a lower key in the audio reg.

i couldnt find the key,.. so i installed the IBM AC97 driver and it corrected itself.
Now time to figure out why BF2 wont load.

What I meant to say was lowerfilters, NOT lower limits.
