Cant Update BIOS new Studio 1745 laptop Windows 7
Using my uneque Service Tag on Dell's driver update page, I was pointed to BIOS file 1745AO2.exe (which "for non-packaged" whatever this means). When I tried to load it a Warning said that this was not compatable with my (64bit?) OS. I have manually found another bios file 1745AO2w64.exe, but I'm afraid to use this because, shurely Dell must know of this problem!
I also believe that I must update the BIOS before updating other software?
Could someone help please.

The 1745A02w64 is available on the Dell Drivers pages. Should be no problem using it. See it HERE<ADMIN NOTE: Broken link has been removed / replaced from this post by Dell>

you need to use the 1745AO2w64 file to update your bios. Bios updates now run from within the windows environment rather than from a floppy disk.
