Catastropic Failure in display properties

Hi all, Display properties-Settings-Advanced-Ge Force TI4600, I installed Coolbits which give you a facility attached to the above which enables further tweaks to the video card and which has worked ok for some time, however now, when I open the above, when I get to the GeForce page which does come up I also get a little box entitled nvcpl and the message Catastropic Failure, when I click OK, the GeForce page goes blank and then a blank version of Coolbits appear.

Any Idea how I can correct this please, I did try reinstalling Coolbits but made no differance, previously I had just tried a couple of registry tweak programmes like registry mechanic but I saved and reinstalled the original registry which made no differance.

Since the problem seems to be associated with Coolbits, uninstall it.  You may end up having to uninstall your video driver and reinstalling it also.  Kip

Coolbits does not work with the newest Nvidia drivers. Uninstall your drivers and get the 45.23 drivers. Then add Coolbits to the registry. Alot of people that play games and have Ti series video cards have had some serious problems trying to use the 53. drivers.

Thanks for the sound advice, though as an IL2 Forgotten Battles player, Iam aware of the shortcomings of the latest drivers and so allready use the ones you mention.

Coolbits has been working ok for a while but then I did a few reg tweaks and cleared out my temp files and that seems to be when the problem occurred.

Trouble is, I gave my card a little tweak with coolbits, no problem but iam worried in case I need to untweak it.
