CD drive doesn't recognize disk...?

Hey all..

I just bought this game and I am trying to download it on my comp. I have windows XP and the game is battlefield. Anyway, the CD is in and it should auto run, but doesnt. I thought maybe I might need a CD driver (even though I was already able to install software from CDs....) so I downloaded the driver and it still says please instert a disk into drive..... What is going on?

CD drives do not use separate drivers. The drivers are builtin Windows. When you say "download" I assume you mean install. Sounds like there is something wrong with the disk itself. If you bought it from a retailer, return it. If you bought it on Ebay or some private party, try to get your money back or you may be out of luck. It's probably an illegal copy that was not finalize properly.

Is the game on a CD or DVD?  If it's a DVD and you only have a cd drive that would be the problem.
