Computer Keeps Restarting?

started about 2 weeks ago and then a week later it messed up my computer where a lot of system things didnt work and i had to do ctrl+F11 to get the computer back to when i first purchased it. I tried just a repair with the operating system disc but that didn't fix anything so then i did the ctrl+F11 on boot up and it fixed it even though i lost everything. I just fixed the computer today and it finally restarted automatically after bout 5 hours.

when did this start?

disable the "automatically restart" option under Startup& Recovery in Wondows. it will show you stop error with Blue screen.The stop error message might narrow down the problem.

its already off and has been off. I have not gotten a stop error message it just turns off and right back on like the power went out for a second (the power isn't going out)

Overheating?

See if cleaning the inside of the PC helps.

Yes i have already thought of that and i did clean it about a week after it started doing it but still nothing is working. :smileysad:

My guess is overheating also, whihc can have nothing to do with a clean inside case or a corrupt video driver.

 

Does the fan seem to run for long periods of time?

I actually don't really ever notice the fan. I'm not sure if it's running. The only time i notice the fan is when i turn on the computer and that's pretty much the only time i can think of hearing it... I'm not sure if its just to quiet and I'm not paying attention to it or if its just not working properly..

 

I've been listening to it for a little while now i can hear it but barely
