computer running slow and freezing up on internet, especially when playing games.
my computer is about 3 months old. For the past month is has been running very slow. When I get on the internet and play games, it stalls every few seconds. I have defragmented and cleaned disks. I'm new at this and don't know what to do. Please help.

Is it just IE that is giving you trouble? Perhaps you should re-install it? Here is a link to do that:

Although reinstalling may solve your problem, there may be an easier way to fix it. Which model computer do you have? How much memory is installed? What programs are running in the background when the problem occurs? See the following and the links therein to get rid of non-essential progams that run from startup and continue to run in the background:
