Copying Recorded programs to DVD? Windows Media Center...

No CD-R that i have has enough space for me to copy my recorded TV programs to dvd. Am I using the wrong thing? Should I be looking for a special CD for burning? Even the small 1/2 hour shows are too large for my cd's. Help.

And you must use recordable dvd disks, not cd-r's.

You need a DVD burner, not a CD burner for video recording.  If you only have a CD burner you can burn video but it's limited and may not play on a standard DVD player.

I do have a dvd burner. It is the disk space that is the issue.....

Make sure you get the correct DVD's for your DVD burner.  Some are only DVD- (minus) compatible some are only DVD+ compatible and some are both DVD plus and Minus compatible.

If it's a new system (within the last year or so) it will take both plus and minus media.
