Deleting multiple files

Question

Trying to delete more the one file, but not all files within a folder, I will hold the control key down and highlight the files I wish to delete. Then will right click on the last highlighted  file and delete. All the files that I have highlighted  are deleted, but my problem is that  many times  I will end up with a copy or multiple copies of the files I have just deleted. What am I doing wrong, or is their a better method of deleting  multiple files. buddee

instead of right clicking on the last file, use the delete key. :smileyhappy:

buddee, Another option is to select the files for deletion and then go to File|Delete.

Thank you for your reply sors, but that doesn't work for me, same results, multiple copies. buddee

Denny, to be more specific when highlighting several pictures at random while holding the contol key down ( the procedure outlined in several  how to  books .)  after about the third picture, multiple copys will be added to the folder. This happens before I ever get to any delete proceedure. In  trial and error  I have try holding down both the Control and Alt keys with  what appears to be success. I have tested  this procedure several times , and at this point have not added copies of files I'm deleting. buddee
