Hi dineshvarma1988,
You can upgrade to Windows 8 its a good operating system. Some are facing issues with Windows 8 installation as they don’t upgrade to latest BIOS before installing Windows 8 for the computer which would support Windows 8 operating system.
Your system is supported for Windows 8 upgrade.
First I’d suggest that you update the BIOS on your system by referring to the link given below and then upgrade to Windows 8 operating system.
http://dell.to/RhQBPw
Also, I‘d suggest that you update the drivers on your computer using the link below in correct order.
http://dell.to/KKYTyt
Please reply for any queries.

Don't use the dell.to links - they are broken more often than they work. Go to support.dell.com or ftp.dell.com and browse to your system to download the files:
ftp.dell.com/.../inspiron-15r-n5110.html

What makes you think drivers are missing? If the drivers are not listed for Windows 8 on your system, it USUALLY means that the drivers are built into Windows.
Go to Device Manager and see if any devices are listed as unknown. If so, right-click the device, Properties, Details tab, change dropdown to Hardware Ids and post the VEN and DEV ID's here.

Hi sam eto,
Windows 7 and Windows 8 use two different technologies for restoring the computer to factory state.
The Dell DataSafe local backup feature is not compatible with Windows8 operating system.
Please reply for any queries.

Hi dineshvarma1988,
I’d advise that you update Microsoft .NET Framework and Java on your computer from the links below, then check if you are able to download files from ‘My Dell Downloads’.

Please let me know if this helps.
