dell vista upgrade webpage

I know I am a couple of hours early in applying for my upgrade but the website is now accepting my Service Tag and COA but the only "Country" I can choose is USA in the drop down menu and will not go any further if I leave it on "Select Country".
I am in the UK - anyone else tried to fill in the form?

Currently it only works for people in USA.
It will work tommorow for you. KK

Hi KK
Thanks for the reply - will have another go in the morning.

The website would not even take the Service Tag until tonight but now does everything except the Country select bit. Don't know why I am so impatient as none of us will get Vista until February :>(

still not accepting my service tag (in the UK). Unfortunately Dell have not included a time of day or timezone of the 15 Dec as when the site will be available.

It appears I'm in the same boat as goosegog (although I'm in France) - my Service TAG was rejected yesterday (Dec14th) and then accepted this morning, I was able to enter my COA but the country field for my postal address still only accepts U.S.  Seems DELL has forgotten to update the country list for eligible EMEA service TAGs..
(And I'm also wondering why I'm so impatient :-)

Hi all

Dell states "For customers in Europe, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Latin America, and Mexico this redemption site will be available December 15, 2006."

Mmm, what a nice way to keep your "customer happy". It should have been made active just after midnight. If it isn't ready then why make it available?

Come on Dell, people don't mind waiting but don't move the goal posts, or in your case Americian Football posts, that will get their backs up.

Regards

Othalian

just been on a web chat with some foreign person from Dell. The vista upgrade website is down at the moment which is why it wasn't accepting my service tag. Could be 24 hrs.

Thats what they say anyway...

I guess they may be updating their tag databases for the upgrades. Hoping anyway...

personally I all for saving server resources and web traffic.

A simple message saying 'please wait - our systems are being updated' would save us keep trying to enter our service tag unsuccessfully

The web chat said it would be available before March 31st 2007 which is good news!

Hi Again

The system recognises my tag however the system has not been set up for UK addresses. It is rather annoying to say the least. I did read somewhere on the Dell site that Dell were hoping to have everything ready for the 17th Dec.

so they closed the site, and reopened it without the red message. Still not recognising my service tag. Poor show dell, poor show!

EDIT: online chat don't want to know either, palming it off to the Vista Fulfillment Centre, which is only in the US!

Yes it is me again.

The Vista Express registration page is up and running, well sort of. i went all the way through and reached the page which asks you for the address you want it to be sent to. Even though the information was completed it kept asking for that information. A small glitch I hope.

I concur!   Vista upgrade order successfully registered with a European address.
Thanks for listening, Dell!

I'm a bit lost I got to the point where you put in your credit card details, I thought Vista was a free upgrade or am I wrong?
