"Device\Harddisk2\DR4" Message
As soon as I begin to logon, the above "box" comes up; also in the box, preceding this, is usually some kind of ".exe" message as well, such as "dlog.exe", or "clientapplication.exe" .
I can click on the box' "X" (about a dozen times!) and close it out, but at random, it reappears.
What do you think this is and how do I get rid of it?!
Thanks
PS While I'm here, I also get a little box saying "No digital setup"; I'm almost positive that this refers to an HP printer that I had hooked up. Since I switched printers to a newer HP (7760), it started coming up. I deleted all of the previous printer's drivers, etc, but this annoying little box still comes up? Again, how do I eliminate it?

Please post the full and exact text of the messages you are seeing. Spelling counts.

Well, I'm off to a great start! Sent before I was finished, so here goes again for the third time!
Firstly, thanks so much for getting back to me so quickly! OK...today, the "box" decided to dwell on "Harddisk1\DR3", rather than "Harddisk2\DR4", but regardless here's the message inside the box:
"There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive\Device\Harddisk1\DR3"
Cancel TryAgain Continue
That's what's inside the box: above the box, in a darker blue "bar" have appeared the following, just this morning:
mndgwllg.exe
stmtreco.exe
suasServ.exe
rng.exe
dwwin.exe
thnall1m.exe
updater.exe
All of these have the aforementioned message inside the box; they seem to come only at startup or when I download, install something...for example, I installed/ran CounterSpy this morning at the suggestion of Dell and many of these popped up during, after.
One more: another message I almost always get upon startup is:
"HP Precision Scan LT Setup
No digital signature
OK"
At one time I had this hardware, but removed it and the software/drivers (I thought)!
Anyway, this is my sad story for the day! Thanks for the help!!!

If these programs don't solve the problem, go Here and follow the directions to download and run the analysis tool called HijackThis. Generate a log file, then open it and copy and paste the text of the log file in a message in the Virus/Spyware Information and removal fourm where a HijackThis expert can offer advice on how to fix the problem:
