difficulty in installing a children's program ... windows xp home 2002
trying to install a children's activity center on another, newer computer in the home ...
problems encountered with installation ... tried to do so a couple of ways, but was not successful ... each time, message appearing was,
"system resource warning
The Land Before Time Activity Center will not run on WindowsNT.
The Land Before Time Activity Center will not run on WindowsNT.
This installation will be aborted."
this computer is not part of a network, but is a sole standing machine and system ... any ideas on how to install this program on this newer computer, what adjustments need to be made to allow this installation? thank's in advance for any suggestions ...

There are some programs that rely heavily on MS-DOS (underlying older versions of Windows) that simply will not run under Windows XP (based on the Windows NT kernal) that do not have DOS. You can try installing it using compatibility mode.

you are right Fireberd, it is an oldie, but such a goodie ... :smileytongue: ... the kids just love it ...
i'm not right at the aforementioned newer computer at the moment ... i am not very computer literate, but i did do a search here for compatibility mode, so i might just give it a try ... i will hope for the best, but be prepared for it not to work ...
