That is strange. May be a registry permissions issue. You could try resetting all the permissions back to default.
See here.

wow, thanks for that link. it sounds very interesting, i have not tried this before. i will turn this over to the programming department for further analysis and see what happens. i actually haven't heard of this before as this problem is a little more "technical" than what we tend to get into on my end of tech support, but even our programmer hasn't been able to figure this one out.

I am having the EXACT same problem with the real estate software that I have installed. It is installs correctly but goes on to give error message "Component RichTx32.ocx or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." How do I fix this? I've been to the sr tech support with the software and they assure me this is a windows operating issue. I'm not getting permissions???? Please help!! i will try the link above to see what happens.

we finally figured out what this problem was. there is a dll called clbcatq.dll that was in the root directory of some of our original installations. when you delete this dll from the directory, it worked perfect. very strange, but programming finally figured it out on a machine that we were able to duplicate the error. that richtx32 error sounds more like the file is not registered in the correct location, did you try using the regsvr32 command?

How do I do the regserver command? I did something like that with the software tech support. I'll try it again. How do I do it? Do I need to go in and delete the clbct file? How do I do that?

you shouldn't have to worry about that clb file, the error you are getting lends itself to just normal registration of a dll file. make sure you are the admin on the computer, and then follow the instructions on this link: http://cuinl.tripod.com/Tips/ocxtip.htm
