DO NOT USE VISTA: my bad experience

Question

Yesterday i install WIFI ADSL connection on a Dell Laptop with VISTA and have 2 important problems: - 1 - the install ADSL CD provided by Sunrise ADSL was not compatible with VISTA, it was necessary to use my old XP laptop to install it. - 2 - the IE explorer on vista crash with bug after on minute of surfing, it was necessary to install FireFox for surfing without problem. DO NOT GIVE MORE MONEY FOR HAVE BAD SYSTEM !

Ok number 1 you do not need to use the CD supplied by an ISP to set up an internet connection (in fact I would recommend you don't as they often install a lot of extra unnecessary software). Number 2, if you have used this CD and it is incompatible with Vista then this could quite easily have messed up some settings within IE which would cause it to crash.   And anyway if you are using Firefox without any problems then where is the issue? It does not mean Vista is unusable by any stretch of the imagination!

I am running Vista Ultimate on a new Latitude D820.  Came with Vista business, deleted it and installed Ultimate.  Had to load the sound driver from Dell and also loaded Roxio 9 retail.  I connect to the Internet via a Linksys Pre - N router and wireless notebook card using Microsoft drivers.  I am having no problems.

I am running an Inspiron e1405 with an Intel Duo 1.8, with integrated graphics and one gig of ram. I tried turning off Aero, turning off everything in MSCONFIG that was not essential, and VISTA was still a dog compared to XP. I just finished doing a clean install and going back to XP. Performance is much better. Unless you have really high end hardware, don't bother with VISTA

Number -1 -: many poeple are not technical and need to use the CD provided by the ISP for installing the ADSL router. The provider make many pub for this easy way to install. I think VISTA may be to use with everybody and not only by specialist. Number -2- : If to use one time the incompatibe CD of the provider Sunrise make IE explorer to crash everytime, its mean that IE Explorer on VISTA is very easy to corrrupt and VISTA is a very unsecure system !
