If you are using Windows XP, and I assume you are since you are posting on the Windows XP forum section, there are NO drivers other than the built in Windows drivers for any CD or DVD drive.
If the drive is "uninstalled" when Windows XP is started it will detect and reinstall it.
Sounds like more than a "driver" issue. The CD/DVD section would be the place to post your question. Also include the PC Model Number and Operating System and more than just it was "uninstalled".
Windows usually provides a generic ASPI driver for practically all drives to be detected as well as function. You can try the site manufacturer of that drive (if you need to have any special drivers for it), or if you have Real Player 10.5 loaded in the system, you can use the check update feature in that program, and under drivers you will see an Adaptec ASPI driver ( which works with practically all drives as well). You can also check the device manager to see if your drive is listed!

I have the SM-332B Samsung drive on my Dell...I think that you can go to the Samsung website and download it???
In recognition of the help I have received on this Forum, if there is any way Denny or the other geniuses can tell me how to either e mail it to you, or put it on a floppy (if this can be done?) - I will gladly mail the floppy to you!
There must be an easier way - wait for better advice!
Thanks, Matt35 that would be a big help. You could try zipping the drivers in a file and uploading it on a hotmail account or some sort of email account that would be a big help. My address is lcfcrthebest@hotmail.co.uk
The bad news is I have no idea how to do very much on computers and cannot locate the driver you need...I trust that the other suggestions have got you what you needed?
Hey everybody! Thank you all for the great support I have recieved, it's helped me alot and im very appreciative. Iam very near to fixing my problem as Windows now detects the drive. The only thing is, the drive still won't open automatically and when ever the computer is on, the little LCD light on the drive constantly flickers/flashes.
If anybody has any suggestions then it would be a great help!
