E5510 BIOS update failure

I am Japanese Dell User.
My laptop is E5510, and BIOS version is A07.
Though original OS of my E5510 is Windowes7 pro 32bit, I am trying to change os to Windows 7 Pro SP-1 64bit version.
But , 64bit OS installation was failed.
Clean install of 64bit OS was passed.
However at device driver installation stage, I encountered windows 7 installation error.
Based on dell instruction, I installed  Dell System Software, Intel Chipset installation utility, Ricoh R5U24X, Intel AMT HEIC, Audio device Driver, Video Driver.
Then I installed NIC driver (Broadcom 57XX GIGABIT controller, Intel wireless network driver), Dell Multi-touch touchpad, Windows installation was failed and shift to recovery installation mode. But Recovery failed.

I think BIOS update is one of possibility to solve 64bit OS installation problem, I planned BOS updating A7 to latest revision(A16)).

By dell web, BIOS revision A9 and previous revision should be updated A10, andthen updated A10 to A11, A12,,,, A16.
So, I plan to update BIOS by two steps, 1st step  A07 to A10, 2nd step A10 toA16.
But I failed BIOS update at 1st step(A07 toA10) as described below.
Of course, BIOS version is still A07.

1st trial : Under window7 environment, I download E5510A10.EXE on desktop.
By double-clicking E5510A10.exe, caution message appeared regarding BIOS update.
I clicked "OK" button on caution message to update BIOS, but nothing occurred..

2nd trial :Under windows7 commannd prompt mode.
I type desktop\E5510A10.exe (enter), but the result was as 1st trial.
After aborting BIOS update, winsows show message.
Message is in Japanese. I translate into English.
That is;

trouble event name:    APPCRASH
application name:    E5510A10.EXE
application version:    0.0.0.0
application time stump:    00000000
trouble application name: E5510A10.EXE
               version:    0.0.0.0
          time stamp :    00000000
exception code :    c0000005
exception off-set :    0003e32a
OS Version        :     6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48
locale ID:    1041
additional information 1:    0a9e
                       2:    0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789
                       3:    0a9e
                       4:    0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789

3rd trial:
To initialize CMOS, removing/re-attaching main battery and coin battery was carried out.
After this action,, same procedure above 1st  trial was carried out.
But the result is as 1st trial.

Anyone to advise me the way to update BIOS.

Hi ARTZGU,

For your reference, I write here my BIOS updating procedure.

1. create a Bootable media

(1) Download "NautilusA41_ZPE.exe"  from dell site.

(2) Double-click the file downloded above (1).

Folder "c:\dell\drivers\2TRC5" will be created.

(3) Open "c:\dell\drivers\2TRC5" folder, and then click "dddp.exe".

Bootable media creation tool will start.

Connect USB memory, containing no data, and then click "Install to a USB Flash Drive".

Please proceed to click "OK" → "Yes" → "OK".

(4) More than one files and folders are created in USB memory.

Delete files and/or folders except below.

autoexec.bat

command.com

config.sys

dellbio.bin

dellrmk.bin

(5) Copy E5510A10.exe To (4) USB memory.

2. BIOS update

(1) After Re-starting your E5510, press F12 key.

(2) In boot selection menu, select "USB Storage device"

E5510 will boot and pause prompt mode "Dell C:\>

(3) Type e5510a10.exe, then BIOS update will start.

BIOS updating from A10 to A16 can be done under Windows7 environment.

I hope this information can be useful for you.

Hi all,

Updating A07 to A10 can be done using bootable USB key created by NautilusA41_ZPE.

And  updating A10 to A16 is done under win-7 environment.
