East Asian Language for XP

Question

I'm trying to access some Japanese site and it won't read. I also need to type some Japanese.

So I basically need to install Microsoft's East Asian Language files.

I went to "Date, Time, Language" under Control Panel and tried to add the east Asian language.

It then asks for the Windows CD. I put it in but it don't work.

It says "setup cannot copy file "...", Ensure the disk labeled Windows XP Home Edition is in the drive or provide the location where the file can be found".

But the disk is in the drive.

Where else can I get the files?

Verify that Windows is looking in the right location for the XP CD. Go to Start|Run, enter regedit and click OK. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup. The value for SourcePath in the right pane should be the drive letter of your CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive, i.e. D:\.

It is looking in :D. The file name is 'xjis.nls' It asks me to 'type the path where the file is located and press OK'. I chose ':D', and then it starts to search for 1 second then give me a window that says 'setup cannot copy the file ...c_20290.nls'.
