empty device manager / pnp not working
Here is the problem.... )
Problem Description:
1. When entering a web address in the browser I HAVE to preffis the entry with " http://www." and hitting the "go" button. w/o doing this - nothing will happen.
2. Device manager is completely empty, nothing - just a blank window. I did all the checking, ensuring pnp was enabled, trying the Aproposfix, yada, yada, yada... nothing has worked.
3. When inserting items such as my iPod shuffle into the USB port - nothing happens, however I could look through "mycomputer" and "see" the ipod.
4. using "my computer" (or opening any other folder) seems like it takes 10 min. to load anything in it...
PLEASE HELP ME!!!! I am running out of patience with this stupid computer.

And if that doesn't fix it, you have malware on your system. Go to Add-Remove programs and, if you have it, remove Contexet Plus.

If you haven't done it, run Adaware and then Spybot with latest definition files too.
