Error message after starting up dell
I am new here and I hope this message goes in the right place. There are two error messages that pop up after the desk top appears. 1. C:/window/system32/inetp60.dll and at the top it will say rundll 2. C:/windows/system32/msiefr40.dll and the same rundll at the top of the message. I ran a scan for viruses, but everything was good. Can some help me out with these message's? you can email me at hauglid@citlink.net

This will help you to clean your Startup:
Clean Windows Startup and hidden Startup:

You also may want to scan for spyware:

Good Luck!

Bonnie,
You might also want to check this link out as well. At least one of the files you mentioned, is part of "BrowserAid"; a recognized Adware program. There should also be an "Add/Remove programs" entry for it. Just click "Start" --> "Control Panel", then "Add/Remove programs". Then see if there is a 'Browser aid' entry, or something to that effect. Let's see if they have a resident uninstaller that can clear itself up. Be careful not to remove any Microsoft 'hot' fixes or system software.

See if running a repair reinstallation of XP (instructions here) allows you to boot to Windows. If so, you will need to reinstall all the Critical Updates you have installed since receiving the computer (or install SP2 which will get you nearly up to date).
If this fails, your only other option is a reinstallation of XP (see this).
A repair reinstallation will leave your applications and data intact. A reinstallation will remove all the contents of your C:\ partition.

Bonnie,
Remember, that Denny is suggesting a 'repair' install, not a 'clean' re-install of windows which will cause you to lose your business data.
Can you boot your computer up into "Safe Mode"?
Mike.

No, I can not get into safemode. When she boots up or tries to boot the error message comes up.
