My brand new Inspiron is coming up with the same unhandled exception error from Datasafe. It came preloaded with windows 7 so I'm not getting the error from upgrading from Vista. I have tried running the patch that was suggested just to see if it would help. This seemed to fix the error for all of about a week. Now I'm getting the error again everytime I log on. I have tried installing the patch again but with no luck. Is there an actual fix to this issue or do I need to just uninstall Datasafe and forget it? I'm half tempted to format the whole thing and reload windows 7 from scratch just to get rid of all the junk that Dell installed and the 4 partitions they created...

No personal experience with this, but it's popped up a few times on the forum as a problem with Dell Datasafe getting along with Win7.
There are a couple of patches available for it in this list of known Dell/Win7 issues:

However, the member below simply uninstalled DataSafe.
